About Rare Frequency Works
For the small tasks
that take up too much of your day.
We build software for everyday document and image work, with a simple goal: help you finish the task and move on.
An independent studio
Practical tools, a little personality.
Rare Frequency Works is the studio behind Aurevessa and the free browser tools on this site. Aurevessa brings PDF editing, OCR text recognition, document organization, and metadata tools together. Our free browser tools handle quick jobs like resizing, compression, format conversion, and preparing images for sharing.
You might be filling out a form, preparing a listing, collecting receipts, or trying to upload a photo that is just a little too big. We want the next step to be clear without making you learn a whole new system.
Useful before impressive
We describe what a tool does, explain the tradeoffs, and encourage you to review the result. We do not promise that every document or browser will behave the same.
Built to keep improving
Your feedback helps us find the parts that need work. If a tool is confusing, a result looks wrong, or something useful is missing, we want to hear it.
A little less guesswork
Our guides explain pixels, file size, formats, and image metadata. Each guide links to a tool you can use right away.
