Why use exact dimensions?

Many platforms require specific image sizes for banners, thumbnails, store graphics, listings, and uploads. This tool helps you match those dimensions without installing extra software.

Privacy

This version of the tool processes the image locally in your browser using the Canvas API. The image does not need to be uploaded to a Rare Frequency Works server to resize it.

When exact pixels matter

Resize without guessing.

Exact dimensions are useful when a website, marketplace, app store, social platform, or email form requires a specific width and height.

Common uses

Create exact-size thumbnails, profile images, listing graphics, app-store assets, website banners, and upload-ready images.

Keep aspect ratio

Turn this on when you want to preserve the original proportions. Turn it off only when you intentionally need a fixed width and height.

Choose the right format

JPG is widely compatible, PNG is useful when transparency matters, and WebP can provide smaller files for the web.

How the image resizer works

Select an image, enter the exact pixel dimensions you need, choose an output format, and create the resized copy. The tool runs in your browser and gives you a new file to save while leaving the original file unchanged.

POPULAR IMAGE SIZES

Resize images for exact upload requirements.

Use exact pixel dimensions when a website, marketplace, profile, app listing, or form rejects an image because it is the wrong size. Common requests include 500×500, 1080×1080, 1200×628, 1920×1080, and custom dimensions.

Resize to 500×500

Useful for square profile images, product thumbnails, and forms that require an exact square image.

Resize to 1080×1080

A common square size for social posts and promotional graphics.

Resize to 1920×1080

Create a standard 16:9 Full HD image for screens, video thumbnails, or presentation graphics.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to 500×500 pixels?

Choose your image, enter 500 for width and 500 for height, turn off aspect-ratio lock if the original is not square, then create and save the resized copy.

Can I resize an image to 1080×1080 for social media?

Yes. Enter 1080 for both width and height. If you want to avoid stretching, crop the source to a square first or keep the aspect ratio locked and use a matching dimension.

Does resizing reduce image quality?

Enlarging an image can make it look softer because new pixels must be created. Reducing dimensions usually preserves more visual quality while lowering file size.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

The resizer processes supported images in your browser, so the file does not need to be uploaded to Rare Frequency Works for resizing.
