How close will it get?

Browser image encoders do not always produce every possible file size. This tool searches for the closest result it can make without going over your target. For very small targets, it may also reduce image dimensions to get under the limit.

Privacy

The image is decoded, compressed, and previewed locally in your browser. This version does not upload the image to a Rare Frequency Works server for compression.
